Рофиева Г. Современные подходы к изучению метафор. В рамках теоретической
основы когнитивной лингвистики, эта статья направлена на изучение природы и функции
концептуального метафоры как познавательный и коммуникативный инструмент в науке,
особенно в литературных текстах. После общего понимания историческая эволюция
метафоры, мы рассмотрим важность метафорического мышления в процессе
лексикализации и формулировка / понимание научных теорий. Затем, принимая
концептуальный подход Лакоффа и Джонсона и их типологию метафор мы проанализируем
на примерах, взятых из множества опубликованных статей, виды метафор, используемых в
литературном языке, и роль, которую они играют.
Rofiyeva G. Modern approaches in studying metaphors. Within the theoretical framework
of Cognitive Linguistics, this paper aims at exploring the nature and the function of conceptual
metaphors as a cognitive and communicative instrument in science, especially in literary texts.
After a general insight into the historical evolution of metaphor, we will look at the importance of
metaphorical reasoning in the process of lexicalisation and formulation/understanding of scientific
theories. Then, adopting Lakoff and Johnson‘s conceptual approach and their typology of
metaphors, we will analyse, through some examples taken from a corpus of articles published, the
kinds of metaphors used in literary language and the role which they play.
